(BLOOMINGTON) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces intersection improvements along Ind. 45 in Monroe County.
Crews will begin clearing right of way starting this Monday, March 26.
Milestone Contracting will begin the construction phase on an intersection improvement project in May. Intersection improvements are scheduled for the following locations on S.R. 45: Garrison Chapel Lane, Liberty Drive/Hickory Leaf Drive, Breeden Road, and S.R. 37.
The project contains geometric improvements, added travel lanes, new pavement markings, and ramp widening. These intersection improvements are expected to reduce motorist delay, increase safety, and driver mobility.
Flagging crews will maintain traffic control in these areas. Project completion is scheduled for September 15, 2012, weather permitting.
