(LINTON) - 23-year-old Shadow Kendall, of Linton, was arrested early Monday morning on a preliminary charge of vehicle theft after he allegedly stole a motorcycle.
Nick Schneider of the Greene County Daily World reports that Kendall was arrested after someone saw him pushing the black-colored 1992 HD motorcycle down an alley near 1st Street NW in Linton away from its owner's home, according to Linton Police Department Officer Chad Cynes.
The motorcycle fell over onto Kendall. That is when the person came to help him and realized the motorcycle belonged to his neighbor.
The witnesses woke up the neighbor and police were called.
When confronted, Kendall allegedly told police that he had permission to ride the motorcycle. However, the owner of the bike told police that Kendall didn't.
Kendall is being held in the Greene County Jail in Bloomfield on $4,000 bond pending an initial court appearance.
