(COLUMBUS) - A 22-year-old Columbus man was arrested Friday evening after being accused of stabbing another man with gardening shears while trying to force his way into a home.
According to police reports, Cody Mathis allegedly stabbed a 40-year old resident who was entering the house in the 900 block of Pearl Street.
Mathis faces preliminary charges of burglary with a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon. He was being held at the Bartholomew County Jail on $165,000 bond.
