(MEDORA) - The search for a new coach to guide Medora’s high school boys basketball team has begun.
The move started last week after the board of Medora Community Schools accepted the resignation of Justin Gilbert, who compiled a record of 6-36 during his two years as head coach.
Gilbert also is a policeman in Bedford.
Superintendent Tom Judd said a committee compromised of himself, Principal Brad McCammon, Athletic Director Dennis Pace and school board trustees Larry Osborn and
Darrell Persinger will lead the search for a new coach.
Judd said the school has received some applications, and he hoped the committee could have a recommendation for a new coach by the board's April 9 meeting.
That would allow the new coach to put together a summer program for the team, Judd said.
