(BEDFORD) - Mike Mitchell, superintendent of Bedford’s parks system, says vandals beware.
Those that get caught will pay for the damages.
This month there have been several acts of vandalism. At Thornton Park Shelter House graffiti was painted on signs and the pavilion floor and on some of the doors on the maintenance building.
Vandals also did damage at Edgewood Park. Kids are also destroying limestone pillars with their skateboards.
Mitchell says they have updated the surveillance systems at the parks to catch the culprits. Those caught will be prosecuted and Mitchell says the city will seek restitution for the damages.
