(BLOOMFIELD) - Two people were hurt in a plane crash Friday night in Greene County.
Indiana State Police report that the crash occurred around 9 pm at the Shawnee Airfield near Bloomfield.
The Shawnee Airfield is a small airfield with a grass landing strip.
The plane was a small single engine plane that had a pilot and one passenger on board.
The pilot Brent D. Sears, 55, of Linton and the passenger Stephan B. Sutton, 39, of Worthington were transported from the scene by ambulance to the Bloomington Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
At the time of this release the circumstances surrounding the crash are still being investigated.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and will have personnel responding to the scene to investigate the crash.
At the FAA's request no photographs of the scene will be released and access to the scene will be restricted until they are finished with their investigation.
