(SEYMOUR) - Seymour Police are searching for a man they say robbed a bank at gunpoint Thursday afternoon.
Chief Bill Abbott says the man is described as a white male with light brown or dark blonde hair wearing a blue denim jacket and a black cap with white lettering. He also had a goatee and partial beard.
The robbery was reported at 12:46 p.m. at Jackson County Bank's office in the Jackson Park Shopping Center on the city's east side. Abbott says the man fled on foot from the scene, heading east where police believe he got into a vehicle.
No one was injured in the holdup and Abbott declined to say whether the suspect made off with any money.
The picture of the suspect from a security camera in the bank has been forwarded to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Seymour Police at 522-1234.
