(BEDFORD) - Tri County Builders, Inc. was selected as the Small Business Administration’s 2012 Prime Contractor of the Year for Region V.
They competed for top honors against other firms in Region V, which encompasses 16 states throughout the country.
The Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year award recognizes outstanding small business owners for their personal successes and contributions to the state and nation. Only companies demonstrating the highest degree of quality in performance of U.S. Department of Defense contracts can be nominated for this prestigious award.
Tri County Builders has played a key role in the growth and overall development of Lawrence County and the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane region. Their vision and innovative leadership has catapulted the economy in southwest Indiana, creating jobs and helping lead the region's growth and recovery efforts.
"It is truly an honor to be recognized from the SBA for the hard work our team is doing,"
said Debra Kellams, treasurer of Tri County Builders. "Tri County is committed to providing
superior service on all of our contracts, and this award reinforces that our philosophy of
excellence is working."
Kellams, and her husband, Doug, will travel to Washington, DC in May to compete for the
National Prime Contractor of the Year award.
