(BLOOMINGTON) - A prosecutor says psychological evaluations will soon be completed on a man charged with killing a southern Indiana pizza delivery driver and shooting another person.
A deputy prosecutor said during a Monroe County court hearing Wednesday that attorneys are waiting for those evaluations of 22-year-old James Finney. The Herald-Times reports his defense attorney has filed notice that he intends to argue Finney was insane when he fatally shot 22-year-old Adam Sarnecki on Nov. 4 in the parking lot of a Pizza X store in Bloomington.
Finney faces murder charges in Sarnecki's death and other charges in the shooting of a 60-year-old woman in the leg as she walked her dog a few days earlier. He is being held at the Monroe County Jail without bond.
