(BLOOMINGTON) - 23-year-old Elijah Grubb, of Bloomington, died after he crashed his Jeep into a tree Sunday morning.
According to Monroe County Deputy Mike Pershing, Grubb died of head and internal injuries when his 1997 Jeep crossed the center line on Popcorn Road and hit a tree.
He died at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Grubb's passenger, 21-year-old Lacie Spicer, also was taken to the hospital with minor facial injuries, according to the accident report. She was treated and released.
