(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police went to a home in the 1000 block of North Illinois Street and when they arrived they found a 37-year-old woman was bleeding from the nose, had loose teeth and a had bite mark to her right arm.
She was taken to I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
Bloomington Police Sgt. Steve Kellams says the woman, who is not being identified, told them her 19-year-old daughter and 21-year-old daughter were arguing and that the older daughter was accusing the younger one of stealing from her.
The mother tried to intervene, but the younger daughter then attacked - hitting and strangling her.
The daughter then left the home, before police arrived. Police were able to contact her by phone, however Kellams says the woman refused to cooperate with police.
Police have requested a warrant for the woman's arrest on possible charges of strangulation and aggravated battery.
