(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington woman died Friday after she couldn’t escape her burning mobile home.
Firefighters were called to the home at 1227 W. Allen St. just before 5:30 a.m.
Two adults and two children were able to escape unharmed.
Monroe County Coroner Nicole Meyer says the body of 53-year-old rose Golden was found just inside the home's front door and appears she was trying to get out.
At 5:27 a.m. a 911 call reported a fully- involved house fire with someone possibly trapped inside.
Bloomington Fire Department Chief Roger Kerr said the cause of the fire is not yet known. "It's a total loss, and we're still investigating what happened," he said.
One firefighter, Sgt. Jeremy Goad, was taken to Bloomington Hospital for treatment of minor burns and was released.
Residents of the two mobile homes on each side of the burning trailer were also evacuated as a precaution, Kerr said.
The Red Cross is providing assistance to the family.
