(MITCHELL) - Brad Gilley is the new interpretive manager for Spring Mill State Park.
He started March 18. He replaced Jill Vance, who is now working in a similar position at Lake Monroe.
Gilley will provide interpretive programs to the public, oversee the staff of the Twin Caves and supervise the Pioneer Village staff. During the peak season, Gilley is overseeing about 13 employees.
Before coming to Mitchell, Gilley, 37, worked at the Dwight Chamberlain Raptor Center at Hardy Lake in Scottsburg, a rehabilitation hospital for birds of prey. Not only does the center do rehabilitation work on injured birds, but it houses 13 permanent birds that are used in educational programs throughout the state.
