(KURTZ) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the bridge on Ind. 58, over Branch of Tipton Creek is scheduled for replacement in Jackson County.
Dave O'Mara Contractor of North Vernon, Indiana submitted the low bid and was awarded the $624,837.43 bridge project. The purpose of this project is to replace the deteriorating structure and improve the operation of the site.
Ind. 58 will be closed between Ind. 446 and Ind. 135 beginning on Wednesday, April 11. The exact location of the bridge structure is 5.62 miles west of S.R. 135, between Kurtz and Norman on Ind. 58.
During the closure, no through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure. Project completion is scheduled for August 31, 2012.
