(COLUMBUS) - A fight at a local gas station led police to arrest a 28-year-old Bargersville resident on suspicion that he criminally confined, battered and strangled his 18-year-old Columbus girlfriend after a night of drinking, according to the Columbus Republic.
Aaron C. Negri, 28, was arrested early Saturday at the Marathon station at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Central Avenue after employees called police because of a fight in the store.
Police believe that Negri and his girlfriend, Judy Lorraine Campbell, of 3920 Peppertree Lane, and Quentin Leonard, 20, of Bargersville, got into a fight early Saturday after drinking at Campbell's home.
Lt. Matt Myers, public information officer for Columbus Police Department, said that after an initial fight, the trio went to Columbus Regional Hospital because Campbell injured her wrist.
