(FRENCH LICK) - French Lick Market on College Street is hosting a paint the town sidewalk chalk day and salute to the armed forces on Saturday May 19th from 9:30 am to 3:30 p.m. with a Flag Ceremony at noon.
Check-in will be at 9:15 am at the Market on May 19. Kid craft activities will be available that day.
Merchants will be displaying student artwork May 7th through the 13th in their windows. Awards will be given to the top three contest winners in each grade. Rain date for the sidewalk chalk event is May 26th.
May 19th is also Armed Forces Day and the American Legion will be presenting a flag ceremony at noon at the Market.
Everyone is invited to participate. Pre-registration deadline is May 7. After this date, only limited participation is available as long as supplies last. Forms and more detailed information are available at the French Lick Town Hall. These events are made possible by a grant from Visit French Lick West Baden.
These events are to promote the arts as a tool of communication among families and friends.
Events of this nature will not only enrich the lives of individuals, but will also contribute to the community as a way of promoting unity and stimulating commerce.

exhibiting handmade and original items from the Ohio River Valley Region. Shops are
seasonal and open Friday, Saturday and Sunday beginning April 6. We have new vendors for this season so check the Community Bulletin Board at the Market or the French Lick Town Hall web site for hours and specific details. The Market is located on College Street next to the French Lick Post Office.
