(BLOOMFIELD) - A rural Linton man, who plead guilty of possession of nearly two pounds of marijuana, has completed the jail executed part of his sentence.
Nick Schneider, of the Greene County Daily World reports, Troy D. Roberts, 39, of Route 1, Linton, was sentenced in Greene Circuit Court for possession of marijuana over 30 grams to 180 days in jail with 174 days suspended. He was given credit for one day previously served in jail - meaning the executed part of his sentence amounted to two days in jail. Roberts was placed on probation for 174 days.
Acting on a tip, members of the Greene County Drug Task Force arrested Roberts at his residence on Sept. 13, 2011.
After receiving signed consent to search his residence, Roberts agreed to show officers marijuana he had stored in the basement, which included several buds off of marijuana plants and their trimmings.
Officers also seized a quantity of marijuana and other evidence, according to court records.
Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell said officers confiscated about two pounds of marijuana from Roberts' residence.
