(BLOOMINGTON) - Eric Langley, 21, was arrested Friday after he allegedly lost his temper with police interviewing him in response to a stab wound.
Bloomington police were called to IU Health Bloomington Hospital after Langley told hospital staff his girlfriend, 26, had stabbed his left leg with a knife in the 3000 block of South Walnut Street, Bloomington Police Department Lt. Bill Parker said.
Langley received stitches for the lacerations.
During the police interview at the hospital, Langley allegedly began attacking police and hospital staff, Parker said. He spat on one police officer and struggled with others.
Officers managed to calm Langley down, Parker said, and Langley told police where they could find his girlfriend, who police are still searching for to interview about the stabbing. Detective Scott Reynolds was assigned to the case.
Langley was arrested for a warrant for a previous incident, battery by bodily waste and resisting law enforcement, Parker said.
