(MARTINSVILLE) - A Morgan County man is expected to plead guilty to neglect in the 2011 death of a six-year-old boy when he returns to court in June.
Matthew Boulden was charged last June after his girlfriend's now 12-year-old son shot and killed his 6-year-old step brother in their home.
Frye died after being shot in the head with a .22-caliber bolt-action rifle.
Their mother, Amanda Vandagrifft also faces neglect charges. She's due in court next month. Prosecutors say Boulden and Vandagriff were not home at the time of the shooting.
The brother was convicted of reckless homicide and sentenced to the Children's Bureau Retreat program in Indianapolis.
