(NASHVILLE) - Brown County treasurer Joe Wrays says the tax bills that some residents are receiving show an incorrect county name on the homestead credit.
Wray explained that somewhere during the billing process, someone accidentally mixed the Boone County pink slips with the Brown County pink slips.
Wray says it's just a small snafu and can be easily fixed. He says the estimated 1,050 property owners that received the incorrect notice, just need to fill out the form anyway and send it to the auditor's office and it will be corrected.
Anyone with questions can call the treasurer's office.
