(BLOOMINGTON) - June is national Adopt a Cat Month and the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter is offering a special adoption fee.
Cats younger than 1 year can be adopted two for the price of one, a deal at $75. Cats 1 year and older can be adopted for $20.
Regular adoption fees are $75 for a cat under age five and $55 for a cat five years and older. Included in the fee are spaying or neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and testing for feline leukemia and FIV.
The public can visit adoptable animals at the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter located on South Walnut.
The shelter is open to the public Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays from noon until 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
Adoptable animals also can be seen on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon at the Farmers' Market, and they can be viewed on the shelter web site at www.bloomington.in.gov/animalshelter.
