(BEDFORD) - 21-year-old Chelsie Hearth, of Bedford, was arrested after she allegedly stole drugs from Westview Nursing Home and then sold them.
She is being charged with dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance and theft.
According to a probable cause affidavit Hearth sold three syringes loaded with morphine, hydrocodone and oxycondone to a police informant. The informant told police Hearth approached them about buying the drugs. The informant met with Hearth in the parking lot of the nursing home to purchase the heroine. A few days later, Hearth again met with the informant and they purchased the oxycodone and hyrdrocodne.
Bedford Police Department Chief Dennis Parsley credited officers with the joint Lawrence County Drug Task force (Bedford and county officers) for making the arrest in the month-long investigation.
According to jail personnel, Hearth was released Friday after posting $50,000 cash or surety bond.
