(WASHINGTON) - German-American Bank is offering an opportunity of non-profit organizations to raise money and help clean up the community at the same time.
German-American has scheduled the Clean-Sweep project for Saturday, June 16, and is giving community organizations an opportunity to earn up to $300 and help the re-vitalize Washington at the same time.
German-American's Eric Headley said the idea for the program came up after Mayor Wellman's listening sessions.
Headley explained that each participating team will be given trash bags and a route to clean.
Headley says that German-American will pay a for each trash bag the group fills up to $300 per group. Headley says the number of groups will be limited to fifteen.
German-American's Washington Clean Sweep will begin at 8:00 a.m. June 16, at the German-American parking lot on Main Street in Washington.
