(WASHINGTON) - A house in western Washington Township in Daviess County was destroyed by fire Wednesday.
Officials call the incident suspicious.
At 4:44 a.m. Wednesday, Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department firemen arrived to find the home fully engulfed. Extra help was called in from Veale Township.
Fire Chief Tony Wichman, says the house, owned by Derrick Ebler, was unoccupied and not utilities were connected to the residence.
Wichman said that witness reported activity at the house sometime after midnight early Wednesday morning.
The fire remains under investigation.
