(BEDFORD) - 29-year-old Jerry Key, of Bedford, was arrested after he caused a disturbance at Wal-Mart Monday night.
Store employees escorted Key from the store after he was being verbal abusive and loud in the store.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says when police arrived they found Key and a Wal-Mart security employee at the front of the store.
Key was being loud and cursing. Police asked Key several times to calm down and he refused. He was arrested for disorderly conduct.
As police were arresting Key, he became combative and pulling away from police. They physically had to restrain him and forcibly put him in the police car.
At the jail, jail officials refused to book Key into the jail, because of medical issues. Key was taken to IU Health Bedford where they kept him for observation.
Key was issued a summons to appear in court on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
