(WASHINGTON) - 74-year-old Wyndam Gabhart, of Washington, was arrested after police say he intentionally hit a lawn mower with his vehicle.
Daviess County Police were contacted around 10:40pm Friday night by Stuart Southerland, who reported the driver of a Chrysler convertible had tried to run him over.
According to Daviess County Police, Stuart Southerland, was on his mower at the intersection of State Road 57 and County Road 150 South when Gabhart, who was traveling west on County Road 150 South intentionally veered off the road, went across a private drive and hit Southerland's lawn mower.
Gabhart then left fled the scene.
He was later arrested and charged with battery with a deadly weapon, two counts of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, plus reckless driving and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Gabhart was taken to the Daviess County Security Center and was released after posting $16,500 in bail.
