(BROWN COUNTY) - Indiana Conservation Officers responded to a bicycle crash that injured Alan Keeling, 48, of Crestwood Kentucky.
On Sunday, at approximately 4 p.m., Keeling was riding his mountain bike on the bike trails at Brown County State Park when he lost control of his bike.
Keeling was ejected from his bike and slammed face first into a fallen log.
Police say Keeling was wearing a helmet; however he struck the log lower on his head. He suffered face and skull fractures and was flown to Methodist hospital by air-ambulance.
The accident was investigated by Indiana Conservation Officer Brent Bohbrink. Other agencies assisting included Nashville Fire, Columbus Regional EMS and State Park Personnel.
