(GREENE COUNTY) - One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle wreck Monday afternoon on State Road 45 near Blue Sky Subdivision in eastern Greene County.
Indiana State Trooper Richard Klun reports that 44-year-old Aaron Upchurch, driving a 2003 Mini Cooper; and 48-year-old Robin Forrest, driving a 2003 Honda sedan; were both traveling northbound on State Road 45 about 3:45 p.m.
Upchuch was in the southbound lane passing Forrest.
Forrest was unaware that he was being passed by Upchurch and he moved into the southbound lane for an unknown reason, Klun wrote in his report.
"Forrest lost control of his vehicle and traveled 296 feet, 4 inches before coming to an uncontrolled stop in a yard on the right side of the road. Forrest' vehicle made two complete rotations prior to final rest. Upchurch left the roadway on the left side of the roadway, but avoided any further impact," Klun explained.
Forrest was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital with complaint of pain mainly in his lower back area, according to Klun.
The ISP trooper was assisted at the scene by Center Township Fire Department and Greene County Ambulance Service.
