(SEYMOUR) - An overturned semi-trailer closed all southbound lanes of Interstate 65 at the Seymour exit this morning.
State Police diverted southbound traffic to U.S. 31 at Exit 55.
According to State Police at the Versailles post the semi tipped when it swerved to avoid a vehicle that was merging into traffic after stopping on the shoulder. The accident happened shortly after 2 a.m.
None of the three occupants of the merging vehicle, nor the semi driver, were seriously injured in the accident.
Police say the semi was carrying diesel engines, so the cleanup took several hours to clean up. Police were able to reopen the roadway at 5 a.m.
