(SOLSBERRY) - Pesky eastern Greene County horses that apparently are skilled at getting out of a fenced area on Beech Creek Township farm has led to criminal charges against their owner 37-year-old Michelle Caldwell, of Solsberry.
Caldwell has been summons to appear in court on June 22 for an initial hearing. She is charged with allowing animals to run at large.
The Greene County Sheriff's Department has received 11 separate complaints dating back to September 2011.
Caldwell's horses venture into the yards and property of neighbors in the Wilderness Church Drive area.
Police say the horses have broken through at least two strands of barbed wire fence and had broken one fence post to escape.
