(MITCHELL) - Mitchell Police are investigating a stabbing.
Police received a call a little after midnight reporting a resident in the 130 block of Pleasant View Drive noticed his motion light was on and went out to investigate.
That is when two male jumped the resident, hitting him in the head.
The resident, who was armed with a steak knife, stabbed one man in the shoulder.
The knife was still in the man when the two fled and ran toward the Hoosier Hills Credit Union.
The resident said one of the men was white and the one he stabbed was a Latino wearing a white shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
