(ORLEANS) - According to a press release Reynolds Inc. and Reynolds Inliner are getting a new name. Layne Christensen Co. acquired Reynolds Inc. in 2005.
Reynolds Inc. will now be known as Layne Heavy Civil. The company will continue the Reynolds' tradition in the construction of treatment plants, pipelines, Ranney collector wells and Entec renewable energy sources.
Reynolds Inliner will be renamed Layne Inliner. The full-service rehabilitation group will continue to play an important role in renewing underground infrastructure all across the United States with a wide variety of products, most notable their proprietary Inliner cured-in-place pipe.
Both Layne Heavy Civil and Layne Inliner with subsidiary companies, Liner Products and Inliner Technologies, will maintain offices in southern Indiana, with 24 additional offices spanning coast to coast. Combined, the companies employ nearly 400 construction, engineering, administrative and factory production workers in Indiana and about 1,500 employees nationwide.
Layne Christensen Co. took root in South Dakota in 1882 as a well drilling company. Throughout the decades, the company grew geographically and in 1950 expanded into the water treatment industry. The addition of Reynolds and its 70-year history to the Layne family of companies in 2005 brought full circle the group's collective water and wastewater capabilities.
Layne is a global water management, construction and drilling company, providing responsible solutions for water, mineral and energy resources. Layne operates in more than 80 integrated offices worldwide, staffed with about 4,600 employees. Layne's philosophy of responsible growth guides it in consistently doing the right thing for its people, the environment, the company and the clients it serves every day.
