(MITCHELL) - On Friday the Mitchell and Lawrence County Police Departments arrested 7 people for a rash of burglaries that happened last year.
According to Mitchell Police Chief Mike Hardman the burglaries happened at Smoker Friendly, Hair Visions and the Keg Liquor store.
Hardman says warrants were issued after months of investigation.
"Lawrence County Prosecutor Michelle Woodward and her staff provided us with invaluable guidance in a very complex case due to the many people involved and multiple victims," Hardman wrote in a press release. "Officer J. D. England did an exceptional job of investigating this and bringing the accused to answer for these allegations"
Arrested were:
* James A Longest Jr., of Mitchell, on 4 counts of burglary, 4 counts of theft, and 3 counts of criminal mischief.
* Robert J. Terry, of Mitchell, on 2 counts of burglary, 2 counts of theft, and 1 count of criminal mischief.
* Montana Mason, of Mitchell, on 2 counts of burglary, 1 count of theft, 1 count of criminal mischief.
* Janice Hall, of Mitchell, on 1 count of aiding burglary, 1 count of aiding theft, 1 count of receiving stolen property.
* Natasha Benge, of Mitchell, on 1 count of burglary, 1 count of theft, 1 count of criminal mischief.
* Christopher S. Pruett, of Bedford, was apprehended by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department for 1 count of burglary, 1 count of theft, and one count of criminal mischief.
* Nickolai Dean, of Bloomington, was apprehended in Bloomington and charged with 2 counts of burglary, 2 counts of theft, and 2 counts of criminal mischief.
