(SEYMOUR) - 65-year-old Wayne Sherrill, of Seymour, was jailed Monday morning after allegedly pulling a shotgun on a county highway crew about to work on a ditch near his home.
Work crews were cleaning ditches in the area of 12,000 block of East 900 North when Sherrill approached workers and told them there would not be doing any work there and then walked into his house.
He then came back armed with a shotgun and stood watching workers. At that point, Jackson County Sheriff's Department was called, but the state police had troopers closer to the area and sent them to the scene.
Sherrill was arrested and charged with intimidation and taken to jail.
