(SPRINGVILLE) - Lawrence County Police officers are investigating the theft of two campers and the discovery of two meth labs.
According to Chief Deputy Mike Branham, police were notified by Mark Leggio, who found his camper parked just off Popcorn Road in Springville Saturday.
The camper had been stolen from Monroe County.
When police went to investigate, they discovered Leggio's camper and a meth lab.
There was also a second camper parked behind Leggo's. Branham says police ran the vin number and found the camper belonged to a man in Franklin.
Police contacted the owner.
"He told us the camper was in storage," Branham says. "We informed him it wasn't and that we had found it parked in Springville."
Branham says the camper was stolen from the storage facility.
While investigation the theft of the second camper, police discovered a second meth lab.
Police did question two people, who were at the scene.
Branham says, no arrests have been made, but information has been turned over to the Prosecutor's office and the case is still under investigation.
Branham says the Drug Task Force and Indiana State Police Clandestine Team disposed of the meth labs.
