(BROWN COUNTY) - Two Brown County residents were arrested on drug charges and face possible theft charges. Police went to a home in the 6000 block of South Hamilton Creek Road to follow up on a theft case in Hamilton Township west of Seymour.
Police say that resident had multiple thefts during the last few months and had used a trail camera to photo the suspect's vehicle.
Armed with that information police tracked down the vehicle to the home of 41-year-old Marvin Murphy and 40-year-old Amy Ripburger.
While discussing the case, Murphy ran into a garage and locked himself inside. After a few minute Murphy surrendered.
Police then searched the home and found a meth lab, a stolen tiller and other items. Murphy was charged with resisting law enforcement and manufacturing meth in Brown County. Ripburger also was charged with manufacturing meth.
The case was submitted to the Jackson County prosecutor's office for theft charges there.
