(BEDFORD) - A man was arrested and another injured after an accident on Sandpit Road Thursday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 46-year-old Steven Sanders, of Bedford, was traveling east on Sand Pit Road when he went left of the center line, noticed an oncoming vehicle, over corrected and lost control of his 1999 Jeep Cherokee.
The Jeep went off the left side of the road, hit a ditch causing it to roll on to its top and slide into a tree.
Police say Sanders failed a breathalyzer test and was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, driving left of the center line, false and fictitious registration, and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
His passenger 24-year-old Amanda Pelfree, of Solsberry, suffered facial bleeding and should pain. She was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
