(BEDFORD) - According to Indiana State Police, 41-year-old Lori B. Brock, 41, of Bedford, was arrested and is facing more than 40 charges stemming from fraudulent prescriptions.
Brock was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a warrant issued by Washington County Superior Court.
According to ISP, the investigation began on Jan. 12 when the Salem Police Department received a tip from a caller. The tipster reported that Brock allegedly faxed fraudulent prescriptions for controlled substances to pharmacies in Lawrence County.
Police said Brock was a former employee of a medical facility located in Campbellsburg.
Brock, who no longer is employed by the Campbellsburg facility, was still allegedly entering the business while it was closed and allegedly faxing fraudulent prescriptions to pharmacies in Lawrence County.
Brock was incarcerated in the Washington County Jail and charged with the following: Burglary, a Class C felony, (12 counts); forgery, a Class C felony, (12 counts); attempting to unlawfully acquire a controlled substance, a Class D felony, (16 counts) and attempting to unlawfully acquire a legend drug, a Class D felony, (2 counts).
