(BEDFORD) - A woman called police after she says a man pushed her down and took her purse Monday night.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, the woman was walking in the area of 24th and H streets around 10 p.m. when she noticed a man walking on the opposite side of the road.
"The next thing she realized the man was right beside her," Parsley says. "The woman alleges the man pushed her to the ground and grabbed her purse."
The man then fled the scene.
"The woman ran to a nearby home that had it's porch light on and called police," Parsley says. "Officers were unable to locate the man."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Bedford Police Department.
