(MCCORMICK STATE PARK) - 44-year-old Peter Raventos told police he was shot in the back Monday night while he was walking on a trail at McCormick’s Creek State Park.
The man called 911 at 10:05 p.m. Monday. Raventos was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital with injuries, including 22 shotgun pellets found under his skin.
According to conservation and public information officer Max Winchell Raventos, the man told authorities he didn't know who shot him.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources conservation officers, members of the Indiana State Police and McCormick's Creek park staff searched for a shooting suspect Monday night and didn't find anyone.
