(MITCHELL) - The Lloyd Wood Show will perform at the Mitchell Opera House on June 23rd at 8 p.m.
The Lloyd Wood Show is one of country's best kept secrets.
Lloyd Wood has been entertaining since the age of three. Coming from a musical family, he learned to play the guitar and mandolin at the age of six. He was the emcee and lead singer at the Little Nashville Opry in Brown County, Indiana for three years; was emcee and lead singer at Brandy Wine Hall in Greenfield, Indiana until 1982; and has entertained at his own music barn, the Country Time Music Hall in Nashville, Indiana for thirteen years, playing for people from all over the world. Lloyd and his band also performed for several years at Ski World in Nashville, Indiana.
Lloyd has worked with and fronted for many country stars including Mel Tillis, Merle Haggard, George James, Alabama, the Oak Ridge Boys, Marty Robbins, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, and Barbara Mandrell, to name just a few.
Mr. Woods can impersonate over a hundred stars, from Willie Nelson to Tiny Tim.
Lloyd dishes up a heapin' helpin' of Country, Country Rock, Bluegrass, and Oldies. Some say it is better than being in Nashville,Tennessee or Branson, Missouri! You be the judge!
The Opera House is located at the corner of 7th & Brook Streets in Mitchell, Indiana.

On July 21st at 8p.m. The Nostalgia Band will perform.
The Nostalgia Band is lead by band director Frank Battaglia. Playing all the hits from the 30's and 40's, this approximately 20 piece big band will fill the Opera House with an awesome musical performance. Get your tickets early for this popular big band sound.

On August 18th at 8 p.m. Grandview Junction will perform.
Grandview Junction is an awesome Bluegrass, Gospel and Country Band coming to the Opera House. They will bring Tim and Susan Key. Their trademark of 3 and 4 part harmony, along with a wide range of musical instruments has allowed the Band to develop a wide repertoire. Add years of experience and you have a great show.
