(PATOKA) - Fourth of July fireworks displays have proven successful at Patoka Lake.
In fact, they have been so well received that this year’s celebration will mark the sixth year at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources property south of French Lick.
The display won't come on the actual holiday itself, but will be offered when darkness rolls in on June 30, the Saturday before Independence Day.
Hoosier Hills Marina will sponsor the fireworks, which will be at the Patoka Lake Beach. Those planning to attend are encouraged to take along lawn chairs, blankets, refreshments and bug spray.
The normal gate fee will be charged to those who attend. The fee is $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $7 for those who live out of state.
