(ELLETTSVILLE) - Investigators with Indiana Conservation Officers executed a search warrant on the home of Peter Raventos, of Ellettsville, Wednesday evening and seized “items of evidentiary value” pertaining to a report he was shot on a trail in McCormick’s Creek State Park Monday night.
DNR officer Max Winchell, says investigators and police planned on searching the park with police dogs for evidence.
44-year-old Raventos told police he was shot while walking on a trail Monday, and says he did not know who shot him. He was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital with injuries, including 22 shotgun pellets found under his skin.
Investigators think Monday night's shooting is an isolated incident and that people are not in danger within the park.
