(BEDFORD) - A Texas woman was injured when she crashed her car after swerving to miss a squirrel Friday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 44-year-old Kelley Hughes, of Conroe, Texas, was traveling north on Meyers Road when she swerved to miss a squirrel, drove her 2003 Toyota Camry off the east side of the road, hit a fence and utility police and then ran off the road and hit a tree.
Hughes complained of neck pain.
