(MITCHELL) - Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Ind. 37 and Hancock Avenue Tuesday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, Pamela Walden, of Bedford, was traveling north on Ind. 37 and Wanita Hopkins, of Bedford, was traveling south on Ind. 37 and Zachary Emberton, of Mitchell was traveling north on Ind. 37.
75-year-old Hopkins drove her 2003 Pontiac across the center line into the north bound lane to turn east onto Hancock Avenue and hit head-on with 55-year-old Walden's 2006 Buick Walden's car spun around and hit 16-year-old Emberton's 2003 Dodge on the passenger's side on the rear panel.
Hopkins told police she thought she was in the turn lane of Ind. 37 when the crash happened.
All the drivers were test for blood-alcohol levels and none were intoxicated.
Hopkins complained of knee and leg pain. Walden complained of chest pain and both were transported by ambulance to the hospital.
Emberton suffered an abrasion to his should and upper arm area. He refused medical attention.
