(WASHINGTON) - Wednesday evening, the Washington Plan Commission unanimously passed a request by McDonald’s Corporation to replace its property at 1450 E. Nat’l Highway.
Andrea McCann of the Washington Times Herald reports that the corporation's legal department requested the lots be replatted into one large lot.
"This simplifies things on their end," said Plan Commission President Blake Chambers.
McDonald's Corp. area supervisor Jeff Heller said the replatting was the last step in preparing to rebuild the Washington restaurant.
"Everything else has gone very smoothly," he said Monday.
According to Washington Building Commissioner Chris Wimmenauer, the rebuilding project would probably start at the end of the month.
"The demolition and building permits have been issued," he said. "They were waiting for this step."
