(ORLEANS) - Six-year-old Jada Lagenour will benefit from the third annual Angels of Gabriel Michael Howell Memorial Ride on July 14.
The ride is an annual benefit to help a local child who is suffering from a life-threatening illness. It was created to honor Howell, a Bedford toddler who lost his battle with cancer in February 2010. Each year, a different child benefits from it.
The 70-mile ride will take participants from the Thornton Park Pavilion in Bedford through various locations, ending in Congress Square in Orleans. Registration is at 8 a.m. with vehicles departing at 10 a.m.
Attendees are asked to make a $20 donation per vehicle. (Although motorcycles are recommended, they are not required.) There will be a hog roast, activities, raffles, drawings and more.
And Jada hopes to attend.
"We definitely consider it a huge honor to be picked for this benefit," said Jessica Lagenour, Jada's mother.
