(BLOOMINGTON) - While police were responding to a complaint of intoxicated people at Seminary Square Park, a woman approached an officer and said she had been sexually assaulted at the park 13 hours earlier.
Bloomington police Lt. Bill Parker says a 51-year-old woman told an officer had been sexually assaulted by a man at the park at 3 a.m. Thursday.
She pointed out the 52-year-old man she says assaulted her. Parker says they detained the man for questioning but he was not arrested.
The woman went to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for a sexual assault examination. The case is still under investigation.
