(COLUMBUS) - 47-year-old Clifton Cook, of Columbus, who is accused of killing a man at his ex-girlfriend’s home pleaded guilty to a voluntary manslaughter charge Monday.
Cook could face up to 30 years in prison for the murder of 50-year-old Gary Brown if a judge accepts his plea agreement.
Brown passed away on October 7th after he was shot at Amber Liberati's home in the 3700 block of Balsam Court on the north side of Columbus.
Cook was charged with murder and pled guilty. He says he intentionally killed Brown under "sudden heat."
