(SALEM) - Monroe Township VFD members were dispatched to a fire at Wheeler Sawmill off State Road 135 North just after noon Sunday.
By 12:15, the fire company had requested mutual aid from neighboring Jefferson Township, as well as the Salem and Medora fire departments.
Residents are reminded that a burn ban remains in effect as fires are easily sparked and can very quickly spread out of control.
No word at this time as to the cause of the sawmill blaze.
